OPA

Old Pupils Association (OPA)

The Old Pupils' Association was formed in 1923 with the "aims of keeping up old friendships of school days, of keeping members in touch with the School, and of maintaining their interest in the School."

Commemoration is the time when many Old Pupils keep in touch with school. Members from far and wide attend the Jubilee occasions, while local re-unions throughout parts of the country attract many others.

The annual newsletter carries news of school activities, members' whereabouts, their achievements and other happenings and is sent to many places throughout the world.

If you would like to receive an OPA newsletter every year it will be necessary to become a Life Member of the OPA by sending $20, and your postal address, to FAHS OPA, PO Box 118, Feilding 4740.

95th Commemoration Celebrations

It is with regret that the OPA Committee have decided to cancel the planned 95th celebrations that were to be held on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March 2016.

There have been very low numbers of registrations, and we felt that it would be disappointing to go to the expense of attending an event that wasn’t shared with sufficient numbers from the same era.

Those who have submitted registrations already will be refunded in full.

The OPA Committee will soon start working towards the centenary of the school, to be celebrated in 2021, they would love to hear from anybody who has suggestions, and would be willing to help! We will be seeking to re-connect with past students as much as possible over the next few years.

Any further enquiries should be addressed to the OPA via:

The annual Commemoration assembly, OPA lunch, and OPA AGM will still be held on Monday 14th March.
