Ngakaunui is a 16ha dairy farm adjacent to the school on Churcher St. Presently it is carrying 60 Friesian/Friesian cross cows. Students on farm duty start their day here during the milking season, usually the end of July through to late autumn, depending on the season. After milking, students assist feeding the pigs in the 10 sow piggery unit before continuing with the daily tasks of the season.It is run in conjunction with Manawanui, where replacement stock are raised,supplements made and the herd wintered.
