Canoe Polo is a marquee sport at Feilding High School. There are currently five teams competing in the local Secondary Schools' League, and many of these players also compete in the Manawatu A and B Grade competitions or play games against each other at the Makino Pool’s Social League each week throughout the year.
In 2013 Year 13 students Connor McNab, Tanek Gardner and Stephanie Dryfhout were selected for the NZ Secondary Schools’ boys and girls Tournament teams respectively. Stephanie’s U21 women’s team won the gold medal in the Oceania Championships, while cousins Tanek (Captain) and Connor (Vice-captain) led the NZ U21 B men's team to a silver medal in their division.
In 2015 Feilding High continued this tradition of success by winning our first ever national title with our junior boys' team winning the New Zealand Junior Open Championship. Our senior girls' team placed second in the Division 1 final and our senior boys were also competitive in Division 1, finishing sixth. Three students - Lisa Storrier, Monique Corson and Jayden Currie were selected for their respective New Zealand Tournament teams. Monique had also gained this distinction in 2014.
In addition, Monique and Jayden recently represented New Zealand at the Oceania Championships; both were members of gold medal - winning teams.
